When thinking about mass appeal for the game, one has to look at people's feelings, instincts, attitudes.:
There is a kind of intuitive feeling that its going to be OK for our species, our planet and most of the other species on it.
Running through that in a confusing way, there is also a "fun" and dramatic sense of impending catastrophe. Mostly from the wealthy.. like a religious idea of penance.... poor communities feel too underpowered to engage in the dialog. The ironic reality is that we are all equally empowered, and that catastrophe is neither fun nor dramatic, and we tend to underestimate the influence of our addictions on our actions and feelings. The best thing we can do is to start building tools for the next generation to be more aware of their addictions and their influence and address the reality of these conflicting feelings of 'fun' , drama and tranquility.
